"The music helps not to feel inside the silence that is out there."

J.S. Bach

The choral “Schola Cantorum di Bazzano” draws its origins from a group of people who started sharing their love and enthusiasm for music in 1919 in Calcara, a small town near Bologna. They mostly sang during liturgical occasions in their parish church.

"Schola Cantorum di Bazzano" has been carrying out its activity in Bazzano, since 1983. It is directed by Manuela Borghi.

The choral took part into numerous choir festivals and it performed many concerts in Italy and abroad (Vienna, Paris, Prague, Salzburg and Karintia).

It has animated the holy mass in some of the most important churches in Italy such as Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi, Saint Peter’s Cathedral in Vatican, San Giovanni Rotondo.

Schola Cantorum di Bazzano is deeply active in its area, collaborating with local cultural associations and aldermanships and organizing concerts and festivals.
